Berea is a welcoming western suburb with a 2024 population estimate of 17,998, best known as the home of Baldwin Wallace University — a nationally recognized liberal arts institution founded in 1845 — and as the longtime home of the Cleveland Browns NFL franchise headquarters and practice facility (CrossCountry Mortgage Campus). The city's historic Triangle downtown district features unique shops, restaurants, and the beloved Berea Arts Fest. Notable institutions include the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, which hosts the annual Cuyahoga County Fair each summer, and Southwest General Health Center. Berea is also noted for its historic sandstone quarrying heritage.
