A longtime dream of Eighty-Three’s head brewer and owner, Chris Surak, was to open a brewery in Akron where he could share the perfect brew with his community. Chris and his wife Steph have been hosts to many a friend, neighbor, and family member over the years... all called to their home to partake in Chris’s delicious beer creations.
Chris and Steph, along with their family and friends, labored over perfecting the brewery space in the Historic Goodyear Headquarters at the East End over the course of the last year. The space and the beers are a modern take on the classical: clean and bright, but familiar.
