Lacarne is an unincorporated community in Erie Township, Ottawa County, and therefore does not have a separate incorporated municipal Census count; Erie Township had a population of 1,251. The community has a rural setting southwest of Port Clinton and near the Lake Erie shoreline, with country homes, farmland, and access to nearby Camp Perry, Port Clinton, and the Marblehead Peninsula area.
