We helped shape American television. We have a history of crafting groundbreaking programming, bringing storied shows like “Barnaby” and “The Mike Douglas Show” to millions of eyes. We are a station with a history of firsts, including the first television station in Northeast Ohio to offer programming in color, the first to add closed captioning for hearing-impaired viewers, and the first to broadcast a digital signal. We use our platform to enrich the minds of Northeast Ohio’s children. We produced programming such as “Hickory Hideout,” promote STEM education by way of interactive workshops, and work with our schools and communities to improve literacy. Our alumni have gone on to inform and entertain generations by anchoring network newscasts and shining in Hollywood’s spotlight. The landscape of local broadcast television is constantly evolving.
