Cambridge is a city in southeastern Ohio, in the Appalachian Plateau of the Appalachian Mountains. It is the county seat of Guernsey County, which was named after the Isle of Guernsey in the English Channel where some of the early settlers came from. According to the 2020 census, the population of Cambridge was 10,089.
Cambridge is known for its glass industry, as it was the home of Cambridge Glass, Boyd Glass and Mosser Glass plants. It is also noted for its "S" shaped bridges, dating back to the building of the National Road in 1828. Some of the attractions in Cambridge include the National Museum of Cambridge Glass and The Great Guernsey Trail.
The largest employers in Cambridge are Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Colgate-Palmolive Company, Quanex Building Products Corporation, Kraft Heinz Company and Federal-Mogul Corporation.
