Gallipolis, Ohio
Gallipolis is a small village, located on the banks of the Ohio River. It is the county seat of Gallia County and has a population of 3,313 as of 2020. Gallipolis was founded in 1790 by a group of French immigrants who fled the French Revolution. They were known as the French 500 and they settled in what is now the City Park. They later received free land from the US government in the French Grant. Gallipolis is nicknamed "The City of the Gauls" and "The Old French City" because of its history.

- The Our House Museum, which preserves the history and culture of the French 500 and their descendants. It is located in a historic tavern that was built in 1819.
- The Mothman Museum, which displays exhibits and memorabilia related to the Mothman, a legendary creature that was sighted near Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in 1966 and 1967.
- The Tu-Endie-Wei State Park, which commemorates the Battle of Point Pleasant, a decisive victory for the Virginia militia over a confederation of Native American tribes in 1774.
- The Gallipolis Epileptic Hospital Stone Water Towers, which are two stone structures that were built in 1892 to supply water to a hospital for epileptic patients. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
