London is a small city located about 25 miles southwest of Columbus, the state capital. It was founded in 1811 and named after the capital of England. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 10,279 people. Some of the places of interest in London are Madison Lake State Park, which offers wildlife viewing, fishing and boating, and First United Methodist Church, which has a history dating back to 1820 and was the first church in the city. The largest employers in London are Madison Health, a hospital and health care system, Stanley Electric US, a manufacturer of automotive lighting products, and London City Schools, the public school district.
