Washington Court House is the county seat of Fayette County and is located between Cincinnati and Columbus. According to the 2020 census, the city has a population of 14,401 people, which is a 1.5% increase from 2010.

Some of the places of interest in Washington Court House are the Fayette County Courthouse, which was built in 1885 and features a clock tower and a statue of Lady Justice; the Carnegie Public Library, which was established in 1903 with a grant from Andrew Carnegie; and the Eyman Park, which offers trails, playgrounds, and a disc golf course.
