Windham, Ohio
Windham is a small village in Portage County with a population of about 1,666 people. It was founded in 1811 by Elijah Allen, who named it after his hometown in Connecticut. Windham is known for its historical role in the Underground Railroad, as well as its involvement in the rubber and plastics industry. Some of the places of interest in Windham include the Windham Historical Society Museum, the Windham Community Center, and the Windham Skate Park. The largest employers in the city are Windham Plastics Inc., Windham Machine Company, and Windham Exempted Village Schools.
